Shady Tree Maker, was created in the summer of 2015, to bring handmade one-of-a-kind products into daily life, and inspiring curiosity for all who engage with these works. Having practiced the ancient art of Turkish Marbling, a 12th century water painting technique, she has designed a collection of works to bring this ancient art into modern life, with products including marbled boxes, incense holders, wooden crates, trays, card sets, magnets and more. Her classical training in bookbinding allows her to connect us to the timelessness and sacredness of sketching, journaling, and writing, through the creation of her hand-bound sketchbooks and journals, as well as other book accessories.
