My name is Peter Fortin. I am an artist from Providence
Rhode Island. I’ve been painting on and off for 2 years
now I currently work as an art director and freelance
designer.

My paintings are often large format mixed
media works. I use wheatpasting as a method of putting
images, tape and vinyl on large abstract backgrounds
mostly painted in acrylic. My work is largely inspired by
Robert Rauschenberg and Jean-Michel Basquiat. While I
have not been painting long I have sold a dozen or so
paintings to collectors all over the country. My work is
also being shown for the first time at Providence city
hall in August in an exhibit called “After Times”.
