2019 SALEM ARTS FESTIVAL COMMUNITY PUBLIC ART
P R O J E C T D E S C R I P T I O N
For the 2019 public art project I will create site specific weavings that will be installed along the stall walls of Artists' Row. These weavings will be created from plant materials found + foraged locally. Inspiration for this installation comes from one of New England's most invasive plant species for much of it's materials and concept: phragmites australis.

This series of weavings will be installed along the stalls of Artists' Row. Walking through Artists' Row
the community will have the opportunity to observe and experience the species of Salem up close.
