Intent to Apply 2023

Thank you for your interest in the Salem Arts Festival Gallery!  Over 8,000 people regularly attend this family-friendly Festival, transforming downtown Salem, MA into an opportunity for the arts community to showcase a wide range of talents, including a multidisciplinary gallery located at the heart of the festival.

The juried gallery will be selected by an on-site review process again this year, which will be held the weekend before the festival, May 26 through May 28. Work must be physically dropped off to Old Town Hall to be reviewed by our jurors. Work not accepted must be retrieved following the jury review. Work chosen for the exhibit will be kept for the week and displayed during the festival, June 2 – 4.

This special exhibit is to be judged and juried for prizes by a panel comprised of individuals from the Salem arts community and beyond. Our 2023 jurors include Regina Zaragoza Frey from the City of Salem, Kurt Steinberg of the Peabody Essex Museum, and photographer Susannah Bothe.
