Simone Nemes is a multidisciplinary illustrator currently based in Providence. She is pursuing an MFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design. Drawing from her undergraduate experience working with insects and my background working as a horticulturist in Boston, Simone combines botanical imagery with colorful and surrealistic elements. She is inspired by 16th century medical and botanical textbooks, comics, and outsider art.
