Kat Maus is an illustrator and artist living and working in Beverly, Massachusetts. She primarily works in digital mediums but enjoys painting as often as possible. Kat is inspired by her adventures in the mountains, trips to the sea, and the small nature paths and parks that give our neighborhoods character and beauty. Kat completed her undergraduate degree in art history at Tufts University where she also dabbled in studio art classes. She additionally completed a master’s certificate in arts administration from Boston University. After a decade’s long career in higher education administration, Kat became a full-time artist and small business owner in 2019. She is the owner of Kat Maus Haus Illustration & Design through which she sells her illustrations as art prints, postcards, stickers, and greeting cards. In 2019, she was hired by the outdoor brand Merrell to create an illustration representative of the wild weather in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Her illustration was featured on trail running socks and limited edition trail running sneakers. She has also worked with Tuckerman Brewing in Conway, NH on several beer label designs, and her work has been featured on the cover of Mt. Washington Valley Vibe magazine, and the book The White Mountain by Dan Szczesny (published by Hobblebush Books).
