Thank you to all artists who donated their time and talents and the many volunteers and sponsors (including the Salem Cultural Council, Peabody Essex Museum, and Salem State University)who helped make the Salem Arts Festival 2011 the best festival to date. Thank you also to all patrons of the festival, attendance figures this year exceeded 5,000 for the festival June 3 – 5, 2011. There were over 75 participating artists, a juried art show, numerous outdoor performances at the East India Square Stage, interactive art presentations, and artists located in 20 downtown businesses. We hope everyone enjoyed participating in this free festival. We would love your feedback and ideas on the festival and we are looking for volunteers to help with the organizing of the 2012 festival.
