On behalf of the City of Salem, welcome to the Salem Arts Festival! This year’s festival includes a variety of artists and activities. So whether you’d like to take in an outdoor performance on the Essex Street Mall or find something fun to do with the kids, the Salem Arts Festival has something for you.

The Salem Arts Festival gives us a chance to show off our history and diversity through our vibrant arts community and our bustling downtown. And we’re proud of both. While enjoying the many talents of Salem residents, I hope you also take some time to enjoy the diverse and eclectic offerings of Salem’s downtown businesses and our expanding waterfront.

Special thanks goes out to the Salem Arts Association, Salem Main Streets, Salem Sounds and all the other groups and individuals who worked hard to organize this year’s festival.

Over the weekend, I encourage you to take in as much art and as many performances as possible. Events like the Salem Arts Festival are what make Salem a great city to live in and visit and I hope you enjoy your time downtown.
